Long Time Coming

Sorry, I haven’t updated in awhile. I’ve been busy getting ready for spring, adjusting to being a bachelor again, making wine (13 gallons so far, and four more of watermelon I’ll make tonight,) and I’ve given into the dark side. My Tracfone won’t let me go to most places on the ‘net, including here and any forums, but I can get on Facebook… Yeah, I know they’re evil, but now that I’m just living my life, and not active in politics anymore I don’t really care. Oh, I made some homemade Absinthe too…wow! And I’m co-writing a serial with a well published author from England.

I will never be able to watch the Spiderman movies again.

I’m not ready to delve into the recent emotional changes in my life publicly yet so; here is a quick and dirty (in so many ways) for you guys. Yesterday, I watched a film that a friend highly recommended to me. The movie is a twisted and dark yet humorous tale about love called Secretary. The main character is a young self-hating woman who finds a way to channel her non-typical emotional needs into more healthy behavior. The actress who played this part was Maggie Gyllenhall, the girlfriend of Spiderman in those movies. James Spader played the egomaniacal Dom, and played it scarily well.

This is not a movie I’d watch with my parents or with my children (unless they were older.) The film took what I felt was a very impartial, and in depth look at D/s (Dominant/submissive) relationships. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who has ever been curious about unconventional relationships and I’d like to thank H. for recommending this flick to me.

The Best 24 Hours Ever!

If you are closely related to me, or have ever used the phrase “Too Much Information” or its acronym TMI; stop reading this now, or don’t bother me if you get offended.

I’m in the beginning stages of an open relationship with a beautiful, intelligent, adventurous, great gal who shares most of my interests. Hi Tara 😉

My soon to be Ex, is great. She has to be the best friend I’ve ever had, she knows what’s going on and even entertains my sporadic giggling and happy outbursts.

The kids are taking this transition so well, I don’t even know what to say.

Last night I got a message from a hard-core homesteading, polyamourous, anarcho-capitalist who also happens to be a retired erotic model and porn star. Seriously.

Today I got this:

Howdy Burner! Your ticket order was put in the mail on 03/01/2011 to
the following address:

Translation: my Burning Man ticket is on its way.

I can’t wipe this stupid grin off of my face.
